SESSION 9 — THE RESURRECTION OF THE SOUL
THE PATH BACK TO JESUS CHRIST
“He is not here; He
has risen.”
Session 9 —
The Resurrection of the Soul, where the light breaks through without denying
all that came before.
Now the
light breaks through, without denying the Cross, without erasing the wounds.
The Resurrection does not cancel pain: it transfigures it.
Intention of the Session
To receive
the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as a living reality that renews the soul,
restores hope, and proclaims that death, sin, and darkness do not have the
final word.
This session
is offered:
• for our
wounded hope
• for those who live in grief, hopelessness, or emptiness
• for humanity marked by death and violence
• for all Creation, which waits to be lifted into new life
Sacred Opening
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Silence
filled with expectation.
Invocation
God of Life,
You raised Your Son
and opened a new path for humanity.
Make us participants in this new life
and renew our hearts
in the hope that does not disappoint.
Amen.
Living Word — Canonical Gospel
Proclaimed
with serene solemnity:
“But the angel answered and said to the women:
Do not be afraid,
for I know that you seek Jesus,
who was crucified.
He is not here, for He has risen,
as He said.
Come, see the place
where the Lord lay.”
Matthew
28:5–6
Prolonged
silence.
Meditation in Silence
The tomb is
empty.
Not because
love has fled,
but because it has overcome.
The
Resurrection
is not an escape from the world;
it is the beginning of a new world.
Silence.
Complementary Text — Ancient Tradition
Gospel of
Mary Magdalene
Read with
respect and discernment:
“The Savior said:
Where the mind is,
there is the treasure.”
Gospel of
Mary, 7:4
Silence.
This text is
received as a call to live from resurrected consciousness, not from fear.
Breath of New Life
With
gentleness and contained joy:
• As you
inhale:
“Christ lives.”
• As you
exhale:
“I live in Him.”
Three times.
Prayer of Resurrected Hope
Lord Jesus Christ,
victor over death,
enter into my inner tombs,
into what seemed lost,
into what I no longer hoped for.
Raise me with You
into new life,
and make me a witness of Your Resurrection
in the midst of the world.
Amen.
Ritual Gesture
Open the
hands upward, at chest height.
Inwardly:
“Lord,
I receive the new life
that You give me.”
This gesture
is offered:
• for those
who have lost hope
• for those living under the shadow of death
• for devastated peoples
• for the Earth, which needs resurrection
Prayer for Humanity and Creation
God of Life,
raise humanity from fear,
from violence,
and from hopelessness.
May the power of the Resurrection
renew hearts
and restore the face of the Earth.
Amen.
Integration
Luminous
silence.
Do not force
joy.
Do not deny the path.
Allow new
life to blossom.
Closing and Blessing
Blessed be God,
who caused us to be born again
to a living hope
through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
May this new life
reach all Creation.
Amen.
cf. 1 Peter
1:3
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
