SESSION 2 — THE METANOIA OF THE HEART
PATH OF RETURN TO JESUS CHRIST
“Repent, for
the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near”
Intention of the Session
To enter
into metanoia: the profound transformation of the heart and mind born
from the encounter with Jesus Christ.
Not from
guilt,
but from truth and the Love that calls us to return.
This session
is offered:
• for ourselves
• for all wounded hearts
• for humanity in need of reconciliation
• for all Creation
Sacred Opening
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Brief
silence.
Invocation
God of mercy,
You do not despise a sincere heart.
Send us Your Spirit
so that we may return to You
with truth and humility.
Amen.
Living Word — Canonical Gospel
Proclaimed
slowly:
“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say:
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.”
(Matthew 4:17)
Silence.
Let the word
“repent” rest in the heart, without added explanations.
Meditation in Silence
Conversion
is not fear.
It is not punishment.
It is return.
The Kingdom
is not far.
It is near.
As near as
the heart that opens.
Prolonged
silence.
Complementary Text — Apocryphal
(for inner
deepening, not doctrinal)
May be read
with reverence:
“Jesus said:
If you bring forth what is within you,
what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you,
what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
(Gospel of Thomas, logion 70)
Silence.
This text is
received as a call to inner truth, in harmony with the Gospel.
Breathing of Metanoia
With
gentleness and recollection:
• On
inhaling:
“Lord, show me the truth.”
• On
exhaling:
“Here I am.”
Three times,
unhurried.
Prayer of Loving Repentance
Lord Jesus Christ,
You know my heart better than I do.
I present myself before You
without masks
and without defenses.
Show me what needs to return to Love.
Heal what is wounded.
Straighten what has become crooked.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Amen.
(cf. Psalm 51, adapted in faithfulness of spirit)
Ritual Gesture
With both
hands open, resting on the legs or over the heart.
Interiorly:
“Lord,
I offer You my heart
just as it is.”
This gesture
is offered:
• for those living in guilt or fear
• for those who do not feel worthy
• for hardened hearts
• for all wounded Creation
Prayer for Humanity and Creation
Lord Jesus Christ,
Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin of the world,
look upon humanity with compassion.
Touch hearts,
awaken consciousness,
reconcile Your children
and restore the Earth entrusted to us.
Amen.
Integration
Total
silence.
Do not
analyze.
Do not explain.
Simply
remain before God.
Closing and Blessing
May the Lord create in us a pure heart
and renew a right spirit within us.
May His peace rest upon humanity
and upon all Creation.
Amen.
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
